I've been quite the busy guy lately. From IMPACT on Wednesday night (got there two hours early for dinner and setup) to LOST to an interview to being a waiter for a night to the SAT, these have been some busy days...
IMPACT was good Wednesday night. We started a three week series on evangelism. So that's cool. I ran LiveWorship and the sound board (kind of, I just turned off and on inputs and kind of adjusted levels). Good times.
LOST was great Wednesday night. Back to regular form, in my opinion. The ratings drop has leveled out and I think ABC is left with the real and true fans. And because KATV doesn't have any more SEC basketball games on Wednesday nights, it was in beautiful HD. It really does make a difference for you doubting me. Not only is it widescreen and thus fits my laptop display well, and not only is the detail greater, but the colors are more realistic (maybe it's my monitor is good and/or the TV is bad but I'll chalk it up to HDTV). Anyways, more on the episode is at The LOST Observations...
Yesterday afternoon I got my prizes from Ignite Your Faith magazine. A 2GB iPod Nano and every studio CD Switchfoot has released including an autographed copy of their latest, Oh! Gravity. Once I cut my library down to 2GB, I loaded the songs on and have enjoyed the Nano since. iTunes isn't my favorite player for listening to music on the computer but the syncing to the iPod is good and podcasts are good. iTunes automatically downloads the latest SportsCenter and PTI podcasts and puts them on the Nano when I connect it. I really like that :)
I had an interview yesterday at a mini golf place. The manager said it was favorable and that i I made it to the next round, he'd call by 5. No call though. Still looking for a job...
I'm taking the SAT tomorrow :-/. I'm not so much worried about the test as I am with how boring it will be to sit for almost 4 hours doing schoolwork with no teaching. Homeschool flexibility is nice. I guess I take it too much for granted.
I served dinner last night to a group of realtors at the church. They donated $500 towards the Peru trip for the youth group. Though I'm not going on the Peru trip, they needed help and I like to serve so I helped out. Serving is my spiritual gift so I might as well use it while I have it.
I'm off to watch LOST again and post to The LOST Observations...
